Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Welcome to the first issue of my monthly Hammocks News and Market Report! I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share this with you. The goal of this report is to provide a quick, informative snapshot of news and updates impacting our community, delivered in a format that’s easy to read, even if you’re just waiting for a traffic light or reheating leftovers. We all lead busy lives, but staying informed about what's happening in our neighborhood is a responsibility we can’t afford to overlook.
Last night, I attended the May Hammocks Association Board of Directors meeting, where several important matters were discussed. Here are a few key highlights:
Financial Health: We currently have approximately $5.4M in the bank.
Community Surveys: These have been approved and will be conducted soon, paving the way for delayed improvement projects.
Landscaping & Tree Trimming: Affinity Property Management will now handle these tasks, prioritizing emergency needs and property risk, followed by less urgent maintenance.
Lake Fountain: Approval has been granted to purchase a new fountain to replace the existing, non-functional one.
Pool Repairs: The repair of the pool at Black Creek’s recreational facility has also been approved.

Finally, the report will conclude with an infographic summarizing current monthly market statistics broken down between (1) single-family homes and (2) townhouses and condos. Here are the latest available numbers for your review.
